Voltaire Electrical, based in Belper, Derbyshire originally focused on domestic and commercial electrical installation, maintenance and testing but having gained a taste for renewables we have evolved into a Solar PV specialist company.
Our team of roofers and electricians ensure that we have the correct skills to complete all aspects of solar installation work.
Our work spans from installations with just 4 solar panels to more than 250 panels on some of our larger commercial work.

We cut our teeth as ‘normal’ electricians completing all aspects of small scale electrical design and installation work
The sales of electric vehicles was growing rapidly so we decided to add EV charging to our portfolio by completing the City and Guilds 2921-31 EV course followed by numerous EV manufacturers’ installer courses.
Solar and Battery installation course was completed in 2021 but due to works loads at the time the move from domestic and commercial electrics to renewables had to wait……
The MCS registration process is thorough, complex and takes a significant amount of time to complete. Voltaire invested the time and resources to gain this important accreditation prior to offering our new solar PV and battery storage services
We continue to grow with a number of high profile commercial installations alongside many domestic installations. From the outset we pledged never to employ salespeople and that each solar installation would be designed to the unique requirements.
